Unique Ukrainian specialized machinery, reborned in Zakarpattia region
In 2021, at the production facilities of the “Concrete-Nova International” plant in the town of Myronivskyi, Bahmutskyi district, production of Ukrainian specialized machinery was organized. The “Concrete Nova International” plant (CNI) was a leader in the Ukrainian market for precast concrete products and metal structures.
The Kyiv Machine Plant (KMZ) was located on the territory of this huge CNI plant, in two workshops. The first Ukrainian mobile cranes KMZ 25-40, with a lifting capacity of 25 tons and a boom reach of 32 and 40 meters, were assembled there.
The importance of creating unique Ukrainian specialized machinery at that time, even at a factory practically on the front line, cannot be overstated.
The enterprise team represented and promoted the unique Ukrainian specialized machinery created in Donetsk at international specialized exhibitions, where the cranes received high praise from experts.
The Kyiv Machine Plant is a Ukrainian manufacturer, with the localization level of our production exceeding 40%.
In the spring of 2022, with the onset of the war, bridges were blown up, and the plant managed to evacuate only people, documentation, drawings, and ready-made equipment.
All equipment, machines, and mechanisms, along with much else, remained under occupation and were looted.
The plant was forced to relocate its specialists and organize production to a safe region, namely in the city of Vinogradiv, Zakarpattia region.
The production facilities of the Kyiv Machine-Building Plant are currently located in the workshops of the Vinogradiv precast concrete plant, which is situated 15 km from the border with Hungary and Romania, and adjacent to the 1435 mm European gauge railway.
Additionally, a licensed customs warehouse operates on the plant’s premises.
Despite the war, destroyed equipment, relocation problems, the team of the Kyiv Machine-Building Plant managed to resume the assembly not only of cranes and manipulators but also of multifunctional KMZ 22-10 cranes on tractor chassis, and is developing many other types of specialized machinery for further production.
